It sounds obvious but do clean up before you take your photos. It's probably best when your property has been made ready for incoming guests. Remove all clutter and personal objects especially from bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen areas. Then double check, you might not notice your razor on the side of the bath - but the camera always does!

When taking indoor shots open all curtains windows even doors! Natural light is best but do also switch on as many lights as possible. It's surprising how often indoor photos turn out dark when later viewed.

Try different angles and levels! when taking shots of bedrooms, particularly smaller ones, try holding your camera just above the bed level - rather than at normal standing height. Do also try unusual angles to get a fuller picture. e.g. take a shot of the room from outside through the window. Or perhaps standing on a chair. It might not work but if you have a digital camera what's there to lose? Obviously though, Do be careful and don't take any risks that could cause injury or damage!!

Note the time of the day when your property gets the best sunlight and take your photos then if possible. Unless you have a setting on your camera try to keep the sun behind you.

Pool shots sometimes get the best results by getting down on the floor at the waters edge and taking a shot across the pool. - For photography purposes an empty pool is usually better than one with swimmers in!

If you have good views or a nicely lit garden/ pool. take some night shots to give a bit of variation or even during different seasons.

Finally, snap away, as they very rarely all come out. Also remember we can always try to enhance them before putting them on your site if needed.
